About Mia

I started my hair career at 16 - a phone call I didn’t even take set me on this path. My dad answered the call and accepted a hairdressing apprenticeship for me, and the next morning, I was at work. Years later, before I had ever picked up a makeup brush, I said, “I want to be asked for by name.”

Over more than three decades, that ambition has taken me around the world, from shooting fashion campaigns on the Lofoten Islands, Hawaii, Fiji, Brazil, Puerto Rico, LA, Joshua Tree, Portugal, and the South of France, to travel content across Canada, Samoa, Vegas, Dubai, and London.

I’ve had the privilege of looking after recording artists on tour and being the requested artist for hosts on TV shows like Big Brother, Dancing With The Stars, and The Voice. Along the way, I’ve built long-term relationships with clients who trust me with their hair, makeup, and confidence - from Pamela Anderson, Florence Welch, Keith Urban, Delta Goodrem, Christine Centenera, Sonia Kruger, Samantha Wills, and Rachael Finch, to many more.

My work has appeared in Vogue and Marie Claire. I’ve collaborated with global brands including Adidas, Rip Curl (AU, EU, US, Brazil), Sisley Paris, Revlon AU, NAB, Style Runner, Pallas Couture, Universal Music, EMI, Chanel, NINE Network, ABC TV, Luxury Escapes, and more. I’ve delivered guest artist masterclasses, brand collaborations, editorial shoots, and countless campaigns, navigating the evolution from film to digital, HD TV, and the rise of social media.

Behind the glamour, the industry can be intense. I’ve walked away from relationships that didn’t serve me and learned the importance of owning my power - experiences that now shape how I work with every client, every shoot, and every tutorial I create.

Today, I’m sharing my expertise not just through hair and makeup, but by helping women feel confident and represented. This journey inspired The Over 40s Club, a space for women to learn, play, and unapologetically care about how they look and feel - because beauty, style, and confidence are timeless.
